Better - a word that means “larger, greater, and superior”. The word “better” is practically everywhere you can see and hear. “This product is better than the rest.” “My daddy is better than yours.” “I am better than you.” “Which one is better?” Our whole society is looking for “better”. My question for you is, “Why settle for “better” when you can have the “best”?”

Worlds Worst Poet

William McGonagall of Britain has the awful title “worlds worst poet“. I read that he had to take an umbrella with him everywhere he went, because people would throw rotten tomatoes at him whenever he recited his poetry. My favorite part of this story is that McGonagall thought that his poetry was genius. He thought that only Shakespeare wrote better then him.

In acts 1:8 Jesus said that we would receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us. He also said in John 14:12 that we would do greater works than He did. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, caused the lame to walk, and the blind to see. We have that same power in us!
