Now, this blog may not be your “typical blog”. But, then again, what blog of mine is “normal”? (Well, maybe I had one.)
Anyway, I was thinking today of the verse about dreaming dreams and seeing visions. To be more specific, Joel 2:28, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” Whenever I think of this verse, I am reminded of my father says about revival. He says that if you truly want and seek after revival, you will start to dream about it and start seeing it happen in your mind’s eye (ok, mind’s eye is my word for it; he said “seeing visions of it happening”). And it’s true, when you are searching or working towards a set goal, you begin to imagine it happening and envisioning how it will unfold. But not only do you see it happening, you start working towards that goal.
This can be true about anything; your dream job, car, house, relationships, and even your calling. God has called each one of us to a specific ministry. It could involve either preaching, teaching Sunday School, music, driving people to church, and/or worshiping (everyone is called to worship Jesus). And many times, it is in our youthful years that we are called of God to do something, but we tend to put it off and procrastinate. True, your calling may be for the future, but the time to start dreaming and working towards that goal is now.
I realize I jumped all over the place on this blog, metaphorically speaking (and I used a big word, YES!). But I want you, the readers, to understand that the last days are here. God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. We have not yet seen the greatest revival God has for us. If we want to be in the middle of it, we need to start dreaming and working towards that goal. And this is true about our calling, also. If God has called us to do something, we need to dream and work towards that calling. God can use any person at any age to do something great for Him, but that person has to be ready to be used.
So my famous last words for this blog are: “Live to dream”.
God bless you and God bless NitroGEN!
