Spiritual Thoughts

Psalm 30:5 “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

This verse in the book of Psalms is quoted frequently by Christians in and out of the church. We all love the fact that joy is coming with the morning and sadness is put away. Because with the new morning is a brand new chance to live life the best we can. With a new morning comes new opportunities and a new way to put the sorrow we faced away.

The night, in this verse, represents the struggles or the trials we go through. Because, just like the night eventually turns into morning, so do our trials eventually come to an end. But too many times, when we are facing the night, we forget that the morning is on the horizon. We forget that God is still leading us and the storm we are facing is there to make us better. It is not that we forget God, but we forget He is there, even when we can’t see Him or feel Him. We keep tossing and turning, feeling like morning will never come. We feel like God has forgotten about us.

But just as David writes in Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Friend, if you are going through a trial and you feel as if there is no hope, this blog is written for you. There is a hope, God still cares, and He will see you through. I can truly say like David that I have never seen the righteous forsaken. So if you love God and are living for Him, you will be in His favor. And in His favor is life and life more abundantly.

God will see you through the night, so you have joy in the morning
