Quick Thought from Kirk - It’s Been a While

Spiritual Thoughts

I realized today that it has been a while since I wrote a post. Not that I intentionally forgot, but the last couple of weeks have been, shall we say, slightly hectic. With Youth Congress, Nitro.gen Praise coming up, and school starting for everyone, time has been in short supply. But all that aside, I decided to write a quick post and to give you my two cents worth.

Isaiah 12:2 says, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”

With summer vacation almost over and school coming up, there will be trials we have to face this school year. Decisions on what we will do with our lives and what we want to become will surface. We will also have to make decisions on what is truly important. We will have to decide if living for Jesus in a godless society is worth it. We will have to decide on whether or not to be a witness for Him. And we will have to live every day with the decisions we make. So, I implore you as summer vacation comes to a close to make the right decision; live for Jesus with everything you got!

Sure, life may be rough at times, but a life lived for Jesus will be worth it. A life lived for Jesus will not be boring. In the end, the positives of a life lived for Jesus can not even be compared with the negatives. One day, those that keep the faith and endure till the end shall see Jesus and we shall be like Him. I John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

So when life gets tough and everything around you seems discouraging, remember the words of Isaiah, “…the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song…” Not only that, but remember that one day the trumpet will sound and we will taken in the twinkling of an eye. There will be no more pain, stress, worries, or tears when we get to heaven and see Jesus. What a glorious day that will be!

I dont want summer to end!! Come back June! Thanks for the reminder Kirk, school definitely does bring more stress and worries to my life and its so easy to let it al get to me and forget that Jesus is my strength. I am so excited for that day where there will be no more stress, so I gotta keep living for God everyday until that day!
