Matthew 21:12-14 says, “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.”
This thought just ran through my mind, “Are we to be politically correct in this world to be a witness?” Now, this is not a life or death question, nor was ever intended to be. But, some people try so hard to be a Christian and try not to offend anyone in the world, either. Now I am not saying you should offend as many non-Christians as you possible can, no do not take this wrong. Romans 12:18 says, “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men”. But this fact will hurt; you are almost always going to offend someone. No matter what you do, you will hurt someone’s feelings or make someone mad at you. The point I want to point out to you is that Jesus was not a raving lunatic, even if what He did offend some people. Jesus was not “politically correct” here in the world’s eyes, but He did what was right. If we are to reach our world, we may have to be willing to be “politically incorrect”. We are not to break various laws and say we are reaching our world for Jesus, but can we reach our world if we are unwilling to step out in faith to do what is right?
