“From the Inside Out”

In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Lately, this song has been on my mind. “From the Inside Out” is one of those songs that gets in your head and it takes hours before it leaves. Not that it is a bad thing, but it’s hard to sleep when you keep singing this song at 3:00 in the morning. But the main thing I want to focus on is the message of this song and why it is important for today.

“From the Inside Out” has a powerful message; we need God to fill us inside out so we shine for Him. We need to seek God with a desire in our hearts to become more like Him. Because as this world keeps getting crazier and crazier, the only thing that will get us living right is more of Jesus.

This world is so caught up in lies, sex, drugs, divorce, and everything ungodly you can think of. Or in other words, the world is caught up in sin. Turmoil is in every direction you turn. There are so many hurting souls in our world. And the lost are searching for truth, but in all the wrong places. We need to understand that our time is short on this earth. We need to stay living for God and we need to be a light to this lost world.

This song needs to be the cry of our generation. We need God to be the focus of our attention. We need to serve Him with a passion like we have never before. We need to love God from the inside out.

That’s some pretty deep thinking Kirk. I don’t think I have ever heard that song, but it sounds awesome! We all also have to realize that we and the people that we are reaching out to have “Short Time” before Jesus is coming back! So from the inside out we need to serve Him with all that we have!

yeah that is true. Something that this song reminded me of is that when people start to have a relationship Jesus and they first start to give god control it starts on the inside. People around you have no idea whats going on in your heart but as you make God the one you worship and praise whats been going on inside of you starts to show on the outside to those around you.
Luke 6:45. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Good job on putting feelings into words. I guess that’s why you are a rockin song writer and I am not.
